You wouldn’t have thought a lot had happened since my last post – neither did I. But, it did. A LOT. None of it good!

Firstly, work are still taking the mick with my wages. They’ve picked the wrong person to mess about!

Secondly, pub man is still at it!

Well, what do I say about work – apart from it being the worst job I have ever had. I previously worked for Sky through Teletech and I thought that was bad. Turns out, this company is just as bad. They don’t log downtime correctly, the don’t answer emails or PM’s in a timely manner. In fact, they don’t do much right in my eyes. They also screw you over with wages. For the last 2 months, I have been short paid and I have had to fight every time for it back.

They then run these little incentives and play semantics with words to screw you over some more! They ran an overtime incentive whereby if you did a certain amount of hours in a certain time period, you would get a bonus and then they would bank the hours for you. The banked overtime incentive was 0.25 for every hour you worked. I worked 49 hours and banked 12.25 hours. The logical part of me thought it would be 12.25 hours at overtime rate. It turns out – in their stupid little world that 0.25 banked is 49 hours at 25% of normal pay rate. I don’t know why it didn’t click. They pay less by doing it the latter way.

If you want to know who I work for, send me a message and I will send you one back advising you to steer well clear of the company.

I am currently off at the moment due to technical issues. It couldn’t have come at a better time. I was beginning to prepare for a mental breakdown because of this job!

Don’t even get me started on this pub. A review was called for by a local councillor (and rightly so I might add), and a hearing was set for January 17th. We got prepared for the hearing, got there and it was adjourned due to new evidence coming forward. Not the outcome of the day we were hoping for! We wanted it done and dusted on the day.

The local gutter rag was there and promptly reported (in a fashion – I use the term loosely), on the events of the day. Jamie and I were the only ones named in the article – so it looks like we are the only ones that have an issue, which is very untrue. There are several residents who have issues with the noise from the pub. You can see the previous issues with the pub here. You can view the story in full here

Just in case the editor of the paper deletes the story (as he is sometimes wont to do), you can get it below.

Story of postponement

I spoke with the editor who refused to take our names out of the paper even though it was accompanied by factually incorrect and misleading information. Due to this, I have been left with little alternative but to make a complaint to the PCC.

As you can see, it has been a couple of fights with people that has taken my time, my energy and my mental strength. Here’s hoping for another little people victory!
